Charlie Christian - Kerouac download mp3

Charlie Christian is not on the recording. Jack Kerouac was not known at the time of this record -1940 - it was added later to avoid royalties. The song is "Exactly Like You." These were recorded by Columbia student Jerry Newman who would play them on his University radio show.

All I hear is a couple of long trumpet and piano solo. Charlie Christian played guitar. Were is the guitar solo?

The rhythm section is piano-contrabbasso-batteria. In this tune Christian is absent.

Kenny Kersey plays piano on this recording, where you can hear Monk on Swing to Bop (Topsy).

Live at Mintons, recordings which Russell Malone called "ridiculous" in terms of how good.
