I’ll be seeing you;
In all the old, familiar places;
That this heart of mine embraces;
All day through.
In that small cafe;
The park across the way;
The children’s carousel;
The chestnut tree;
The wishing well.
I’ll be seeing you;
In every lovely, summer’s day;
And everything that’s light and gay;
I’ll always think of you that way;
I’ll find you in the morning sun;
And when the night is new;
I’ll be looking at the moon;
But I’ll be seeing you.
MY OLD FRIEND AND FELLOW RHODE ISLAND NATIVE ....BOBBY HACKETT WAS THE MASTER OF THE TRUMPET AND GLEASON ALWAYS FEATURED HIM PLAYING WONDERFUL ARRANGEMENTS !
My parents had this album when I was a kid. In addition to the music, which I thought was pretty, it was the album cover that I most remember. It looked so sophisticated to me with the cocktail and the fur stole and the dramatic pose told a story. A rich woman with the blues.
I thought for many years that Jackie Gleason was only on television during the 1950s & 60s until i heard his music being played on the late David Jacobs radio show here in the UK on BBC radio 2 Sunday night alas David Died last year ( what a loss to broadcasting ) so i hope somebody else will still plays Jackie Gleason records on the radio.
