This music can only mean love. I first heard this when introduced to me by a wonderfully loving woman during a nine month relationship. She came back into my life 20 years later to only fall in love again. I was 40 the second time around. She had such a profound affect on me that it took more than five tears to get my head back on straight. Music like this makes us so intimate with one another. Be careful my friends. You may loose your way to reality.

Jackie Gleason is one of the iconic figures of my childhood and adolescence. It seems that he has always been in my memory. First came upon him through the Honeymooners and later via his variety show and in movies such as The Hustler and Smoky and the Bandit. Gleason was an awesome comedic and dramatic talent and here a great band leader. It is reported that Jackie could not read music. It is also noted that as an actor he hated rehearsal of acting scenes. Yet, Gleason supposedly had a photographic memory and was an organizational wizard on the set. IMO, the guy was a genius. I still laugh out loud watching his facial expressions and comedic timing in Honeymooner reruns. My mom loved him and being that she is gone Gleason remains as a thread that connects us whenever I see or hear his work. Thanks Mr. Gleason wherever you are.

Two of the greatest jazz interpreters better known for their acting are Jackie Gleason and Woody Allen.
