What is this genre of music and where can I find more?

when i was 17, i skipped 12th grade and spent my first collegiate year in the middle east. a roomate of mine introduced this song to me on one of our late night trips. the song captured these deep feelings of sadness and abandonment that i did not actually feel at that time, but somehow was able to understand and recognize, like, sort of future pains and woes. as i have become a man, i have come to know those feelings, but this song always carried an underlying hope or perhaps beauty, which still helps me feel like i will be ok. those drums at the end remind me of my heartbeat as a teen, now they remind me of my fading memories of a younger me.
