from time to time to amuse myself I make my top 5 lists. This recording is definitely on my desert island list. So is Ralph Burns on my top 5 composer arranger list. Woody, Stan Getz, Terry Gibbs are on lists as well. Barry Ulanov (former editor of Metronome Magazine) when asked for his definition of cool jazz, responded "the Stan Getz solo on Early Autumn." I whole heartedly agree.
