Gazing, from a lonely mountaintop
Face to face, with a sky that never stops
Here, where an empty soul can try
To look for the reasons
The rainbows of why
They had me, things we just don’t understand
But there’s a peace, for what we cannot comprehend
Oh, we can’t climb higher than the pain
To find some comfort, when the answer isn’t plain
We don’t know why
When the world is lost in shadows
There is a light that will remain
The love He gave
That cared enough to die
He’s as endless as the Montana sky
Flowing, on the mysteries of time
Of secrets, that are hidden from my mind
Oh, for all I cannot understand
My loving Father, holds the answers in His hands
We don’t know why
When the world is lost in shadows
There is a light that will remain
The love He gave
That cared enough to die
He’s as endless as the Montana sky
When there’s no why
There is hope beyond the sorrow
It is the truth that will not change
His love that gave
That cared enough to die
Is as endless as the Montana sky
(Endless as the Montana sky)
Endless as the Montana sky

Wow. 30 years Swept Away instantly listening to the first five seconds of this. Had forgot about this song & have not heard it in decades. But I recognized it instantly. Brought me back to late 1980s as a young man in high school. And so many memories came rushing back while listening. Along with Whiteheart ... David Camp, Rich Mullins, Michael W Smith, Carmen, DeGarmo & Key, David Meace, Amy Grant, listening to all of those artists and going to their concerts back in the day. Stumbled across this beautiful classic song from White Heart while just randomly surfing. Made my day.
