What a band! In a just world, they would’ve been humungous. Mark Reale had it all as a player and writer and is sadly missed. Tony Harnell is one of the most astute rock lyricists and really put his finger on an important aspect of the mass shooting/gun violence problem in America. This song is approaching twenty years old and, sadly, rings more true now than when it was written. I write this as I’m watching the news of a second mass shooting here in the U.S. in less than 24 hrs. Politicians who stonewall gun reform legislation have blood on their hands. This means you, Moscow Mitch, and all of your cronies who value money and power over the sanctity of life and traditional American values in general. How I hope there’s a hell for you to burn in for all eternity. Laws alone will not solve the problem 100%, but they can dramatically decrease the number of people dying in shooting massacres. Shame on you for your inaction under the false flag of “freedom”.
