A great song with deep feelings and of course the way Vera Lynn sings it. I came along as a little girl listening and liking this song very much not knowing that in my later years it would have even more special meaning. I now listen to it in remembrance of my precious son who left for his Heavenly Home just before his 12th birthday

I got married in 1993 at the age of 31. This was the song my mother and I danced to. Tomorrow is the fifth anniversary of her passing. To say this song has meaning to me is an understatement. I miss her so. R. I. P. Mom I love you and miss you.

Wonderful tone, perfect pitch and enunciation and the kind of sincerity that convinces she means every word. No wonder the forces loved her.

This always makes me think of my two sons, Leigh and Jason. I am so lucky to have them. My grandma used to sing this song about my Dad
