as a nonbinary lesbian who is overweight and was bullied for my teeth and my nose and felt, always, like i could never be good enough? this video changed my life when i first saw it at twelve years old, and continues to have a lasting impact on me three years later. the description. the people in it. even the song itself. the lyrics, to me, dont just tel us to love ourselves. theyre a demonstration of how we all live to please other people, to be seen as beautiful by other people. even if we preach self love and work on accepting ourselves, there might still be a part of us that asks "am i good enough?" and that is not a failure on our part, but we need to be ready to tell ourselves that yes, we are beautiful in our flaws and worthy of love
