Nobody even comes close to Don & Phil Everly! Their harmonies are amazing! This beautiful song, music by Sigmund Romberg and lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II, was published in 1934 and introduced in the film "The Night Is Young" (1935)
Above music info is misleading. The earliest version I found was sung by Vera Lynne during WWII. It was written in 1934 and sung by many, many artists along the way.
I am listening to this just hours after losing my darling daddy. His love will always live in my heart. This beautiful song will remind me how lucky I was to be his daughter. God bless you Daddy.
