Is it me or does the lyrics give off a Heroine vibe?

I think I know The bitter dismay of A lover who brought fresh bouqets every day. And she turned him away to remember some naive who gave just one rose..one day..years ago. Yep..

we saw the band at sled island in calgary, they played in the united church. I was there with mah husband about two months before he was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. We held each other when the band played this song.....we wept. The whole show was so fantastic...we danced, we made out, we loved it. I love you all.

I love this song and this band. I like the comment about the headstone. Probably right on with that interpretation of the poem, but the stone can symbolize other reasons for the woman in question to not be able to move on as well. The final stanza makes me want to be with my beautiful stubborn and brave nieces who I adore.

Being the one who has loved a stone, this song has accomplished more than six months of therapy could. One of my favorites!
