Lonnie Took A mix of music hall and old American folk music, fused it together and came up with a winning formula, some of his big hits were way out there so to speak, his 1957 no.1 hit Cumberland gap, was like the punk music of the 50s, and was probably more ground-breaking then than the sex pistols were in the late 70s.Called the king of skiffle but was firstly a jazz man, some of his music was skiffle, some more rock and roll, lots of it all fused together
