I remember this song when I was 14 years old. I was playing golf and someone in a nearby home kept playing it over and over again. I has been indelibly etched in my memory since then. The melody and harmonies do give it an addictive quality. It heard it yesterday on our wonderful local oldies station, KDSK, possibly for the first time since 1969. I recognized it instantly. I had no idea that Johnny Maestro was such a great talent going back to his days with the Crests. Thanks again to KDSK for another "sound souvenir." I was shocked that this song was not even close to top 10. Then, I remembered that this kind of music was not "hip" or "cool" in 1969. It does have kind of a 50ish quality that seemed kind of "square" in the late 1960s.
Memories of my radio days at Grahm Jr College in Boston the school radio staion...playing this hit for my then girlfriend...on the 2nd floor of her dorm
