For me Estudiantina portrays the free spirit of students in their youth, and I love it. How lucky were in our youth to have been introduced to Classic Music of some sort through advertisements. Mine was through an Ipana toothpaste advert when I was in primary school where we had Classic Music films every fortnight and others like others, like Tarzan, in between. With The Great Waltz I recognised The Blue Danube as the Ipana advert and since then (circa 1952) I was hooked and started learning about something new. Circa 1972 I met up with Estudiantina for the first time and a friend identified it for me.Today I still discover many jewels and learn a lot from comments like yours on You Tube!
