In the fifties we listened a lot to that

This is my band. In the 50th I found my love whilst dancing at a ball organized by Myer et Fils from Rotterdam at the Palace Zomerhofstraat Rotterdam. During the spells Peter Scilperoort and I became quite good mates. I married my love in 1951 and attended many DSCB sessions. They are my band.

To add one more thing. Peter Schilperoort also used to live in The Hague at the Klimophof, close to where we used to live. My name is Yvonne Courtois Bloemhard in case someone else used to go to Gaillard during the early fifties.

Takes me back to the late fifties when they played at my schoolballs, RHBS Leeuwarden. What a pleasure to dance and flirt to this music.

Actually I found a picture of the band in the early fifties on the list here to the right and with my came a I took picture off the computer, so I have a concrete memory of that time.I also have a few records of the band, which is a treasure to me. Yvonne Bloemhard
