The Mizell brothers, along with Kevin Toney were an important part of Donald Byrds production during the heyday of jazz/fusion/funk. Flight Time and Black Byrd were the stand_out tracks from the album Black Byrd
those of us who were born in the late 1950/s remember this track for changing the whole way this track changed jazz, the new ordinance it bought to the table young vibrant and dancing tapping feet and going out and buying it. god bless the Mizell brothers for what they achieved onward with the Byrd
