this song reminds me of lucid dreaming in a big forest, on a sunny cool day, observing the world bestowed upon me, birds making noise in the background. My mum behind me, my dad ahead of me, we come to a top of a mountain, look over the landscape and amire the beauty. No drama, no politics, no adversity, just family. Happier times...

A fantastic piece of work, but I really am just not a fan of how Thiollier plays it. Like many who try their hand at Debussy, the pace is too fast and emotionless, and the recording itself has what feels like a thick layer of reverb or echo. For anyone interested, I suggest a listen to Menahem Pressler’s take on Réverie, L. 68 - it has stood as my favorite for quite some time now.

My brother played this when I was around ages 7-12 I’d always hear the music from the living room. I had wanted to know the for the name of this song (half-heartedly) for over a decade. Finally found it today. I knew how to play the first 18 seconds but not the rest of the song for years.
