I love this so much! Piece of art. No words could express the greatness of this masterpiece. And it is the hidden truth for why everything that is gold is un-heard and un-appreciated.

Just listened to this for the first time in years, still so powerful, he had a real vision for the future. Lets join the new children! :)

I saw Tim in 1967 at the Troubadour club in L.A. I sat right at the edge of that small stage. He was so skinny and moved like a rubber man. I became a lifelong devout nudist at Woodstock in 1969, and this song speaks a great deal of the deep personal liberation I embraced back then and live by to this very day. Some of us from that time DID NOT SELL OUR SOULS, we few have kept true to the liberation philosophy of that revolutionary time, and Tim spoke to it.

Used to listen to this at 2 am in the morning when I was drinking wine and upset about breaking up with my boyfiriend. This song consoled me. P.S. I married my boyfriend and had 40 years with my dear husband before he passed away.

I was only 15 year Years old when I heard this song but it really struck a Chord in me what was going on in the 60s and 70s in San Francisco and the Bay area. The Bay area has changed so much since but it always produced great music. I remember seeing Janis Joplin and the Greatful Dead then for only a few dollars at concerts in the late 60s and early 70s. The Beatles had played at Candlestick park but my friends told me it was difficult to hear them because of the girls screaming at the concert.

Tim was just 20 years old when this was released, such profound, clever lyrics, he was a rare (but "fleeting") talent.
