Glen Gray and his band were absolutely no slouches, the slow build is this arrangement grows on you and then backs off, it grabs you and shakes awake. Sneaks up on you. I was a music teacher/trumpet player in a dying big band. Never had so much fun since and quit playing trumpet...gots lots of solos.Still play piano and guitar and sing, but there is nothing like swing music.

The "tamer" version. Still very hot! If you really want to swing out hard, check out "Casa Loma Orchestra 1941." Corky Cornelius nearly blows a gasket with his trumpet!
